Gum Depigmentation, also known as gum bleaching, is a quick and painless cosmetic dentistry procedure that helps remove black spots and patches on your gums. In some cases, these patches are not caused by poor hygiene but caused naturally due to the excess amount of melanin produced in your body. This excess melanin can often build up in the gums and create dark patches.
